Mario Kart 7 is a racing game released by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011. This is the seventh main installment of the Mario Kart series, being the sequel to 2008's Mario Kart Wii for the Wii and being succeeded by Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U in 2014.

Why It Rocks

  1. This game introduced the glider, one of the best gimmicks of the entire Mario Kart series.
  2. You can now customize your karts! Choose your kart's body type, glider, and wheel type to customize your stats.
  3. Many great tracks, most notably Music Park.
  4. Many of the retro tracks return.
  5. You can play online, just like in Mario Kart Wii.
  6. Much better controls compared to Mario Kart DS due to having a Circle Pad.
  7. 3 new items: the Super Leaf, Fire Flower, and Lucky 7.
  8. If you hated the Fake Item Box and Thunder Cloud, we have good news for you! Both of those items are finally gone! Good riddance!
  9. Very amazing graphics, even for 3DS standards.
  10. The karts are very unique and have stats that make for different gameplay.
  11. This game also introduced the underwater features, which turn on your underwater fan attached to your kart.
  12. The track Wario Shipyard is one of the few instances where a song from the Wario Land series gets remixed, in which the music that plays during the track is a remix of the boss theme from the first Wario Land.
    • The Level also has other references to Wario land.
  13. First person POV play is introduced.

Bad Qualities

  1. Mediocre character roster.
    • Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS returns, but Waluigi himself isn't in the game due to time constraints.
  2. VS Mode isn't playable in Single Player.
  3. Sadly, if you liked the Mega Mushroom and POW Block from Mario Kart Wii, they aren't in the game.
  4. Cannons are useless compared to the previous Mario Kart games because they can't protect you from Lightning, Red Shells, or Spiny Shells due to the fact that they have gliders.

Mostly, that was because 17 characters didn't fit in the roster so they removed waluigi.

If the flying and diving mechanics were in Mario Kart Wii,then it would be more better than it already is.Also,i feel that the karts are slower than usual.That,s just my opinion tho

This is the 5th best mario kart,behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,Mario Kart DS Mario Kart Double Dash,and Mario Kart 8 Wii U.(mario kart Wii is so overrated)
