Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (commonly referred to collectively as Super Smash Bros. 4) is a group of two 2014 crossover fighting video games developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd. and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U video game consoles. The Nintendo 3DS version was released in Japan in September 2014 and in North America, Europe, and Australia the following month, while the Wii U version was released in North America, Europe, and Australia in November 2014 and in Japan the following month. It is the fourth game as fans counts.

Why They Rock

  1. It still had most of the characters from universe to play as with most of new are introduced.
  2. Nice graphics and art style, even for Wii U and 3DS standards, which means gives no longer washed out color schemes, through it was exceeded.
  3. The DLC contact is now officially introduced for the first time ever. One of the most exciting new characters is Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, including the Advent Children skin, as he can charge the limit and use it for powerful attacks. What's more, the 64 stages and Super Mario Maker stage on both versions as well as the Brawl stage of Pirate Ship on Wii U versions have been officially added. Of course, you can purchase the Mii Fighter Costumes, and change the outfits and headgear in order to have a reference.
  4. This game introduced Mii Fighters, meaning you can create with either video-game characters, or non-video game characters, using many custom moves, and than you can share it in order to play. And the idea of having Miis in Smash is good.
  5. The both versions have exclusive mode. The Wii U version Smash Tour is really good, where you can play your friends, having power up and can use many items you want, while the 3DS version Smash Run is considered best, where you can fight many of the enemies, powering up for your stats and equipped many items, and the Final Battle round has many round where you can either run or jump.
  6. For the first time ever, you can now create custom moves for many characters which it can improvement for having weak attacks and poor recovery, the same goes to Mii Fighters.
  7. The random tripping mechanic is no longer exists anymore due to dash-dancing risky and camping easier.
  8. Introduced a brand new mode, called amiibo who, first needs a Mii and nickname, second, choosing alt skin, third, needed power up and custom moves as well as training, and lastly, you can either play or watch any amiibo battles. Likewise, due to amiibo sell well, it becomes a trend of amiibo series, outside Smash Bros., oh and you can also use non-Smash amiibo for any fighters you want.
  9. Before Miiverse is shut down, you can play online tournaments, and upload video in order to watch with your friends.
  10. You can now play Local Wireless on 3DS, just so you don't need to connect the internet.

Bad Qualities

  1. Many fan-favourite characters from Brawl have been absent:
    • Due to having handheld video game console, Pokémon Trainer and Ice Climbers does not return here. The only one we have is for Charizard.
    • Snake doesn't appeared in the game due to having age rating, despite that Bayonetta is in the game.
  2. In November 2017, Nintendo shut down the servers of Miiverse, which means you can't play online tournaments, posted screenshots, uploaded stage builder and videos, due to how Miiverse have lack of popularity.
  3. Despite having fighter roster in both versions, the stage roster is not the same across the both versions.
  4. Bayonetta, Rosalina & Luma, and Sheik are incredibly broken, due to repeated combo and attacks.
  5. Pac-Land and The Great Cave Offensive are horrible and atrocious stages.
  6. No story mode in this game and the boss battles have been reduced, which is not enough.
    • It was later confirmed that Masahiro Sakurai, the game director, said there would be a single-player story mode included in the new Smash Bros. after the E3 2013 trailers, but that it would be different from Brawl's Subspace Emissary in that there would be no cutscenes due to people uploading cutscenes to the internet, and he would later recant this and announce that he decided to cut any story mode altogether.
  7. The menu layout is confusing, especially the Wii U version.
