Super Princess Peach is a platform video game developed by Tose and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It was released in Japan in October 2005, and worldwide the following year.

Why It Rocks

  1. The idea of making Princess Peach the main protagonist is a really cool idea.
  2. Really interesting story, in which Bowser kidnaps Mario instead of Peach.
  3. The four vibes are really amusing to use, all of which have their own set of powers.
  4. Fantastic gameplay.
  5. Great graphics.
  6. While though out your adventure you will encounter basic enemies (like Goombas or Koopas), some enemies have a vibe (like anger or joy) in their play style.
  7. Catchy soundtrack.
  8. Solid controls.
  9. Tones of fun mini-games.
  10. Perry is a cute character who gets loads of character development.
  11. The boss fights are really amazing and creative. Some bosses are returning bosses from Super Mario Sunshine and some bosses are even completely new.
  12. After you beat the game, you can unlock three new extra levels in all eight of the main worlds.
  13. Lots of collectibles.
  14. Though out Peach's adventure she can unlock upgrades.
  15. Once you have gotten every single collectible, you can unlock a special upgrade.

Bad Qualities

  1. When you tap on one of the vibes, it sometimes doesn't work, so you'll have to tap in another vibe in order to use that vibe.
  2. What's probably the most criticized thing is the way to progress through the game, you need to rescue all of the toads in every single level in order to unlock the final boss, but the thing is, the game never tells you that (unless you read the instructions book), so if that happens, you have to backtrack in order to get all of the Toads.
  3. Peach's vibe gauge runs out really quickly, making her find diamonds in order to refill her vibe gauge.
  4. When you pick an item from the shop and don't want it, Toad says "Hey, no teasing!", which can get really annoying.
  5. The game is somewhat short, it can take 4 hours to beat if you know what you are doing.
  6. Another common criticism of the game is that the game is very easy.

Reception

Super Princess Peach reserved very positive reviews by critics and fans alike, phrase for the idea of Peach as a protagonist and gameplay.
