What Are You Doing?

Everytime I visit this wiki every few days or a week, you're coming with new ways to give critique to 3D Sonic games and Sega together as the sole responsibility to the franchise's decline in quality. Now I see you doing it to Sonic Generations, blaming its success for Sega's nostalgia pandering. What exactly in this meaning to all this?

SpazJR61 (talkcontribs)

I said temporary. I'm planning to make a page about nostalgia pandering. If it finishes, I'll remove it.
Also, I'll more criticize Sega for it because you know, the guys responsible for ruining their mascot.
Also you literally missing the point, the game being 3D has nothing do with the game's quality, the main problem is Sega.

Of course there's nothing wrong about nostalgia pandering but the problem is, the way Sega does, like rehashing the same first level and using the aged and stupid "old version meets new" plot twice.
I already tired about undoing TyrantRex's questionable edits.

Jeff35122 (talkcontribs)

I won't argue with that Sega handles Sonic poorly. But it seems like everytime there's something you need to point out about how poorly Sega handles Sonic especially when it relates to nostalgia, it always goes back to only the 3D games.

Jeff35122 (talkcontribs)

And what do you want this page about nostalgia pandering to be about? Why it sucks, bad and good examples?

SpazJR61 (talkcontribs)

Examples and also why this practice sucks as well.

SpazJR61 (talkcontribs)

That's why I said they're responsible for ruining their mascot.
Sonic '06 is an always a great example for this because this game's development cycle is a huge mismanagement from the start.
Firstly, the team is relatively small for a new generation game, nowadays in order to make a proper AAA title, you need a big amount of team, a lot of time and experience, and they're need to make this game both PS3 and Xbox 360 same time.
Secondly, Sega's shitty deadlines and their terrible decisions. You know why they're fell off, I don't want to go this point.
Third, Sega made a contract with Microsoft, that's why this game was released on Xbox 360 earlier, despite the Xbox 360 version is being a port.
Fourth and final, constant pressure, that's why some of the key members left from team after Unleashed and Generations, in order to work with better companies like Nintendo. I don't want to enter that Sonic X-treme's crunch time development cycle.

Jeff35122 (talkcontribs)

And what of their current treatment of Classic Sonic?

SpazJR61 (talkcontribs)

In my opinion, he's a cash cow for nostalgia-tards.
In Sonic Mania, he treated decently, but in Forces, he's not.
One of the main problems are, Sega and Sonic Team trying too hard to pander the fans.

Jeff35122 (talkcontribs)

This may not come off as shocking to you, but now even Classic Sonic as a whole is divisive among Sonic fans.

Forget my questioning. It just seemed fishy about what you were doing to these pages, so I'm sorry. I was kind of thinking you had some bias with 2D Sonic and 3D Sonic due to the lack of critiques you have against 2D Sonic. My mistake.

Jeff35122 (talkcontribs)

To be honest, I usually don't pay much attention to anything current related to this franchise anymore unless if it's actually worth my attention.

SpazJR61 (talkcontribs)

Yup, I actually don't really interested these topics anymore unless if it's actually worth it to discuss.
